Yellow onions, with their warm golden-brown skins and firm, densely layered white flesh, are a kitchen staple recognized for their robust flavor. The aroma they emit while being cut is sharp and pungent, yet their flavor becomes mellow and sweet as they caramelize in the sizzle of a hot pan. These onions are favored for their versatility, being equally at home finely diced in a vibrant pico de gallo, as they are slowly stewed in a rich and hearty French onion soup. Nutritious benefits include being a source of vitamin C, dietary fiber, and antioxidants, which make them a beneficial addition to a myriad of culinary creations.
