You will want to store onions individually. For the fridge, wrap each onion in a paper towel and store in the crisper. For the pantry, you can use a pair of pantyhose. Place an onion in the bottom and tie a knot in between each one. hang in a cool, dark place. For use within a few days, simply place on a rack with room to breathe.
