Bravo purple daikon radishes are striking root vegetables with vibrant purple skin and crisp, white to pale purple flesh. They have a mildly spicy yet slightly sweet flavor that mellows when cooked making them versatile for various dishes. Their firm, crunchy texture makes them perfect for salads, pickling, and roasting, adding both color and flavor to meals. Growing to about 6–8 inches long, these radishes are not only visually appealing but also packed with antioxidants and vitamins. Whether eaten raw in salads and slaws, pickled for a tangy crunch, or roasted to bring out their natural sweetness, Bravo purple daikons provide a nutritious boost with immune-supporting properties and digestive benefits.
Hickory Hill Farm is all about family. Back in 1852, this 200+ acre plot was gifted to the family as part of a land grant for a relative's service in the Revolutionary War. Now the Certified Organic farm is run by Garry and Susan Shaw along with their daughter, Jennifer Johns, and her husband Josh. Altogether, four generations of the Shaw family are currently living on or working this plot of land. Not to mention their many chickens, hogs, sheep, cattle, and horses!
