Green Cabbage is a dense, leafy vegetable featuring a compact round shape with layers of tightly wrapped, glossy, and broad leaves that range from pale to deep green. When sliced, its crisp and firm texture gives way to a delicately sweet and grassy flavor. Green Cabbage is well-regarded for its versatility, being just as suitable for fermenting into sauerkraut or kimchi as it is for fresh slaw, steamed side dishes, or as a hearty addition to soups and stews. It's a cruciferous powerhouse, rich in essential vitamins K and C, and full of fiber, contributing to a well-balanced diet. Whether shredded for a tangy coleslaw, stir-fried with garlic and ginger, or simply roasted to bring out its natural sugars, Green Cabbage adds nourishing substance and crunch to any meal.
Brothers Jimmy and Allen Miles started their farm in 1992 growing blueberries on 25 acres in Baxley, a small town in Southeast Georgia. They've since expanded their production to include strawberries, corn, and other organic produce, now grown on over 300 acres. Even though they now grow lots of other produce, there's still nothing like their plump and juicy blueberries!
