To protect your cutting board, never submerge it or leave it sitting in water (even in the sink). Wash only by hand with light soap and warm water.
After washing, wipe it dry with a towel. Store it on its side or standing up so both sides air-dry evenly—lying flat traps moisture underneath and can cause warping.
Oil it about once a month (or weekly if you’re using it daily)--rub food-grade mineral oil, beeswax conditioner, or walnut oil into the board. This keeps it hydrated so it doesn’t absorb water unevenly and warp.
